2002 Third Coast Festival Competition
This year's competition attracted more than 200 entries from eight countries,
including Canada, Ireland and Belgium. The winners were announced on November,
2, 2002 at an awards ceremony at the Black Orchid Showroom and Lounge in
Chicago. Accepting the 2002 Lifetime Achievement Award was Studs
Terkel, radio veteran, oral historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author who
graced the airwaves for nearly 60 years.
