2003 Third Coast Festival / Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Competition

The name of the competition was changed this year in appreciation of the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation for its support of the Third Coast Festival since its inception.

This year's competition attracted more than 200 entries from seven countries, including England, South Africa and New Zealand. The winners were announced on October 18, 2003 at the awards ceremony at the Ballroom at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Accepting the 2003 Lifetime Achievement Award was was Joe Frank - producer, playwright and master of dark humor on radio.
