2005 Third Coast Festival Competition

This year's competition attracted 300 entries from seven countries, including Canada, Germany and New Zealand. The winners were announced October 22, 2005 at an awards ceremony at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. Accepting the 2005 Lifetime Achievement Award was Norman Corwin, who is widely credited with creating some of the most important radio programs of the mid-twentieth century. Accepting the Festival's new Audio Luminary Award was Steve Wadhams, a masterful documentary-maker for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and a mentor to producers worldwide.
