Daily life can be tough for a foreigner living in Japan but luckily Ueko and Hitomi, my neighbors from down the road, are always on hand to offer advice....even when it involves a missing pair of yellow shorts.
Yellow Short Pants was produced by Julien Clancy for the 2012 ShortDocs Challenge.
Julien Clancy likes stories that are deeply personal, sometimes funny, sometimes sad but always engaging. Originally from Ireland, he has moved to Japan for a year to try teaching English and to record a radio series for RTE Radio on other Irish emigrants who've also made a life for themselves here in Japan. This includes characters like the Irish sumo wrestler in Tokyo, the fake wedding priest living near Osaka and an incredible animal lover from Okinawa who helps the four legged friends of Tohoku.
