White Noise is about what happens to the residents when several construction projects invade one block at the same time.
White Noise was produced by Shannon Geis and Pamela Schwartz for the 2012 ShortDocs Challenge.
Shannon Geis is a freelance radio producer in Brooklyn, NY who likes to spend her free time wandering around the city collecting sounds and stories. She has been obsessed with radio and audio recording since she was growing up in the wild cornfields of rural Nebraska. She made her way to the big city to attend journalism school at NYU and fell in love with Brooklyn while hitting the pavement for The Brooklyn Paper in the summer of 2009.
Pamela Schwartz is a lifelong New Yorker by way of Brooklyn, Staten Island and Manhattan. She is currently studying law and hopes to combine it with her love of journalism. On certain Saturdays of the month she is also a tour guide for the Greenwich Village Literary Pub Crawl.
