The Searchers (Based on a True Story) was produced for the 2008 ShortDocs Challenge: Radio Ephemera.

Producer

David P. Earle is a Los Angeles based writer and artist. His sound-based work ranges from site specific installations to radio narratives. Recent work includes projects for group shows in Los Angeles, Pasadena, and Long Beach, California. Earle received an MFA from The School of Critical Studies at CalArts and now teaches sound art and radio theory & production there.

The Searchers was presented by David P. Earle at the opening session of the 2008 Third Coast Conference - Presenting the 2008 TCF ShortDocs: Radio Ephemera.

Radio Ephemera challenged any/everyone to produce a short audio work inspired by two books from the Prelinger Library in San Francisco, and featuring the voice of a stranger.
