The triumphs and regrets of a cup.
My Life as a Cup was produced for the 2007 ShortDocs Challenge: Dollar Storeys.
Sean Hurley lives with his wife and son in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, where he contributes regularly to New Hampshire Public Radio, sometimes as himself, sometimes as his alter-ego, "Sherwin Sleeves." His fictional podcast, Atoms, Motion & the Void, has been heard on XM Satellite Radio as well as NHPR and Chicago Public Radio.
My Life as a Cup was presented by Sean Hurley at the opening session of the 2007 Third Coast Conference - Presenting the 2007 TCF ShortDocs: Dollar Storeys.
The Dollar Storeys project invited any/everyone to produce a short audio work inspired by one of three items purchased at a dollar store:
- ceramic mug sporting feisty feminist banter
- 4-pack of wooden mousetraps
- an old-school bicycle bell
My Life as a Cup was inspired by the feisty mug.
