Story

An 80-day bicycle trip from New York City to Seattle, camping and recording along the way, condensed into three minutes.

Produced for the 2010 TCF ShortDocs Challenge: Book Odds. Note! (Bicycle) Chain of Missing Links was one of just four submissions selected as a 2010 Third Coast ShortDoc.

Producer

Matt Purdy is an independent radio producer who picked up a portable recorder and a microphone a few years ago and has been slowly but steadily making radio ever since. He recently returned to the States after a two year stint in the Peace Corps in Bulgaria.

Extra

Book Odds invited anyone/everyone to produce a short audio work inspired by (and named after) song titles from The Books' record The Way Out, and including samples from their library of musical bits, strange phrases and sonic doodads. Read more about and listen to other Book Odds submissions.
