Thomas Bryant Jr. grew up as an African-American with albinism in Washington D.C. during the civil rights movement--a very complicated time to be in between.
Produced for the 2010 TCF ShortDocs Challenge: Book Odds.
Stephanie Foo is a producer for the NPR storytelling show, Snap Judgment. She has also produced radio for 99% Invisible and the San Francisco Arts Commission. In her (rare) spare time, she pens the occasional article, draws comics and has a badass backhand.
Book Odds invited anyone/everyone to produce a short audio work inspired by (and named after) song titles from The Books' record The Way Out, and including samples from their library of musical bits, strange phrases and sonic doodads. Read more about and listen to other Book Odds submissions.
