A young man, lost in sound, finds his way through the wall.
Produced for the 2010 TCF ShortDocs Challenge: Book Odds.
Alexander Stephens, a native of Athens, Georgia, is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He recently discovered a love of sound under the tutelage of John Biewen at the Duke Center for Documentary Studies. He hopes to find a way to incorporate this into his daily life, beginning with his work at the Marian Cheek Jackson Center for Saving and Making History in Chapel Hill.
Book Odds invited anyone/everyone to produce a short audio work inspired by (and named after) song titles from The Books' record The Way Out, and including samples from their library of musical bits, strange phrases and sonic doodads. Read more about and listen to other Book Odds submissions.
