His writing has appeared in the New York Times Magazine, GQ, Nerve, and the National Post, where he has a weekly column. His latest book, Ladies and Gentlemen, The Bible!, a retelling of stories from the Old Testament, was published by Riverhead in 2009. He lives in Montreal.
