Laurence Grissell started his career in BBC local radio after completing a politics degree. He then moved to BBC Radio 4, where he worked as a researcher on various daily and weekly shows, as well as producing occasional documentaries. He started making features full time when he moved to the BBC Radio Documentaries Unit in 2004.
