Come out and LISTEN!

Since its inception, the Third Coast Festival has been exploring ways to lift radio off the airwaves and deliver it into the public arena. Each year we offer a series of public listening events, or Listening Rooms, and a variety of other public activities both in Chicago and in other cities around the country.

The Third Coast Listening Room:

This regular series presents unforgettable audio work in a theater setting and offers radio fans the opportunity to listen together and share opinions about what they hear. Each event features a special guest and includes a diverse selection of documentary audio work. It's like a book club for radio.

Other Public Events:

Throughout the course of the year the Third Coast Festival both sponsors and supports other audio-based public events happening in Chicago and beyond.

The second annual Third Coast Filmless Festival, an entire day's worth of inspired story and sound, takes place all day March 6, 2010, at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. Read all about it or just go ahead and buy your pass!
