Ear Hustle is a unique creative partnership between Earlonne Woods, who is incarcerated at San Quentin State Prison, and outside collaborator Nigel Poor. Together, along with other men at the prison, they produce stories about daily life behind the walls.

Dirty Water explores the process of restorative justice, through a frank conversation about the difficult topic of sex trafficking. During the episode, Sara Kruzan (formerly incarcerated) and Louis A. Scott (currently incarcerated) share their individual experiences of being “in the life,” and then talk directly with each other about their past and current realities.

Dirty Water was produced by Nigel Poor and Earlonne Woods, with help from outside producer Pat Mesiti-Miller, story editor Curtis Fox, and executive producer from PRX’s Radiotopia, Julie Shapiro. Dirty Water was scored by David Jassy with contributions from Antwan Williams.
