Chris Benderev (he/him) joined This American Life following more than a decade at NPR, producing and reporting for its newsroom, Science Desk and the podcast Embedded.

He most recently reported the five-part documentary series, Capital Gazette, which follows a group of mass shooting survivors over three years.
