For the 2007 ShortDocs Challenge, the Third Coast was inspired by and collaborated with the Dollar Store Show - a regular reading and performance series in Chicago.

Dollar Storeys invited seasoned producers and radio fans alike to submit short audio works inspired by one of three items purchased at a dollar store: a ceramic mug sporting a feisty feminist message, a 4-pack of wooden mousetraps, and an old-school bicycle bell.

Four "bucktales" were chosen as the 2007 ShortDocs, and in this session were presented by their producers, along with a few other noteworthy submissions.

Presenting the 2007 TCF ShortDocs: Dollar Storeys, is moderated by Julie Shapiro with guest Jonathan Messinger, and features producers Sean Hurley, Jeffrey Letterly, David Maxon, and Nina Perry.
