Maya Goldberg-Safir

Maya Goldberg-Safir is TCIAF's artistic director, taking a leadership role in shaping the Festival's artistic programming as well as marketing/publicizing our efforts.

Maya has been at TCIAF since 2013, and has worked with the organization as an intern, Social Media Strategist, and Artistic Associate. She also performs as one of Third Coast's licensed Podcast Therapists, offering podcast "prescriptions" to audiences in Chicago and beyond. Maya is active in the community of Chicago independent radio producers. A native Californian, she re-located to the Midwest after graduating from Middlebury College.

Straight out of college, Maya was living in her cousins' attic and was working a part-time, unpaid internship. Then she took a job as a nanny that turned out to be nothing like she'd expected.
