Bob Hill, 86, has been dancing on and off since he was 16 years old.
He's won many competitions with his late wife Iris Hill, who he lived with in Hackney, East London. Katie, 28, is a radio producer and self-confessed bad dancer. Bob and Katie met by chance in a record store shortly after Iris had died. Three years later, Bob is still teaching Katie the finer points of waltzing, as their friendship continues to blossom.
Heel, Toe, Step Together won the Best Documentary: Honorable Mention Award in the 2011 Third Coast/Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Competition. It was produced in 2010 by Katie Burningham with creative advice from Edwin Brys (as part of the European Broadcasting Union's Master School on Radio). The executive producer was Alan Hall and it was a Falling Tree production for BBC Radio 4.
