Leave No Trace

There's a slip of paper hanging in Dave Isay's office at StoryCorps with a quote scrawled across it: "A good craftsman leaves no traces."

This has been one of the guiding principles of Isay's editorial philosophy for more than 25 years. In this session, Isay and StoryCorps senior producer Michael Garofalo share some of the techniques they use to take themselves out of the story and honor their subjects' voices.
