Locusts!
There's a feeling you get when you encounter a swarm of insects.
2013 / Lulu Miller / The Bridge PAI, USA
There's a feeling you get when you encounter a swarm of insects.
It's a thrill, with a dash of fear and a sprinkle of awe, and according to entomologist Jeffrey Lockwood, these emotions reflect the innate human desire for control in our lives. Producer Lulu Miller joins him in contemplating the existential repercussions of swarms, through the example of the Great Rocky Mountain Locust infestation of 1887.
Locusts! was produced for the Bridge PAI arts organization in Charlottesville, VA.
