In the 1960s, a young professor of psychology at Yale named Stanley Milgram, set out to test the human capacity for obedience and cruelty. He ended up conducting what has been called the most important experiment of the 20th century. Millions of words have been written about the results of Milgram's experiment. Less is known about the effect it had on those involved. Sharon Davis and Gina Perry found four men who volunteered for the watershed Milgram experiment 50 years ago. At the time they thought they were willing participants. In truth, they were unwitting subjects.
