2) Also, a myopic and highly personal review of the ethics, tactics and tools of the contemporary field recordist (especially, one on a woefully inadequate budget); and 3) Accompanied by a related set of favorite recordings (or particularly noteworthy failures), with many unnecessary departures and irrelevant anecdotes.
