Gravity director Alfonso Cuarón presented Glenn Freemantle with a challenge - to create authentic sound design in the vacuum of space.
Now, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first-ever spacewalk, Glenn's sounds are used to help recreate the stories of real-life spacewalkers. Sounds Up There was produced by Colin McNulty for Whistledown Productions and BBC Radio 4. The executive producer was Kevin Dawson. The studio manager was Gareth Iles.
This story won Best Documentary: Silver Award in the 2015 TC/RHDF Competition.
