Or at least, Alan Simpson did when Anna Sale's boyfriend Arthur sent a plea for help. They were in love, but Anna was a reporter in New York and Arthur studied wildlife in Wyoming. Anna didn’t think it could work. Arthur did. And he thought that if a U.S. Senator intervened, the relationship could turn around.
