How does a victim's family cope, hours after a violent crime, when they are thrust into a national spotlight?
On April 13, 2014, former KKK member Frazier Glenn Cross pulled into a Jewish Community Center and killed three people, including a 14-year-old and his grandfather. Producers Phoebe Judge, Eric Mennel and Lauren Spohrer revisited this tragedy - while very fresh in the public consciousness - to explore territory we seldom hear: the family's role in representing their loved ones to the world.
The Criminal podcast crew spent more time deliberating about this episode than any other they've made. Read about some of their tough decisions - and the delicate task of telling sad stories without alienating listeners, in EXTRA.
