David Weinberg
David Weinberg (@randomtape) is a reporter at KCRW.
Originally from Colorado, David got his start in radio at WWOZ in New Orleans, freelanced for several years and worked as a staff reporter at Marketplace . He is currently a reporter at KCRW, and the host of the podcast Welcome to L.A. His story Grace of the Sea was named "One of the 50 Best Podcast Episodes of 2015" by The Atlantic . In 2017, David's story about an underground french fry maverick won a national Edward R. Murrow for Best Feature Reporting, and his print work has been published in The New York Times. He lives with his wife Katya and their daughter in Los Angeles.
