Jessica Klinke

Jessica Klinke is a (re)emerging audio artist, producer, and folklorist.

With a passion for storytelling through personal connection, Jessica uses raw soundscapes that lend a sense of movement and place to her interviews. Her ethnographic fieldwork has taken her from the Piedmont of North Carolina, to the heart of downtown Chicago, to the deep desert playa of Black Rock City. Never losing her sense of adventure or her desire to connect with humanity, she managed to drag her son to four countries on three continents by the time he was one.

Jessica is launching The Secret Lives of Mothers, a new podcast series exploring the lost identities of women who have chosen to raise children, and how they can get their lives back. You’ll find Jessica feeding chickens and milking goats on her farm in Talent, Oregon.
