Laura Almo

Laura Almo is a journalist, audio producer, documentary filmmaker and film professor.

She currently oversees the Film Department at El Camino College in Torrance, California where she is revising the curriculum to include sound and storytelling. Laura is piloting the podcast Dispatches from El Camino which features students’ nonfiction stories and morsels of truth.

Laura is also a contributing writer at CineMontage, the publication of the Motion Picture Editors Guild and Documentary Magazine, the publication of the International Documentary Association.
