Matt Black
Matt Black grew up in Oklahoma where his first job was working in a graveyard.
He graduated from the University of Oklahoma and moved to New York where he worked in experimental and documentary film for several years. While enrolled in Columbia University's MFA program, he made short films and wrote several feature scripts and television pilots.
His screenwriting work has won the Sloan Screenwriting Award, been shortlisted for the Sundance Labs and won the top screenwriting award at Columbia, where he recently graduated with honors. His TV work has made been nominated for the prestigious Humanitas Prize and won the Park Avenue Prize at the New York Screenplay Contest.
He currently lives in Los Angeles where he has three feature scripts in development. He is represented by the Radmin Company.
