Simone Alicea

Simone Alicea (she/her) is a producer for City Cast Chicago, a daily local news podcast that launched in March 2021.

Before that, she was a producer and reporter at KNKX Public Radio in Seattle, where she co-produced and co-hosted Forgotten Prison, a podcast about the history of an old island prison in Washington state. Simone was born and raised in Seattle, but she's thrilled to be back in Chicago, where she graduated from Northwestern University in 2015 and previously worked for the Chicago Sun-Times.
