Read all about the 2018 Radio Residents and their Residency projects!
The 2018 Third Coast Radio Residency cohort included: Alex Lewis, Xander Adams, Hannah Kingsley-Ma, Jenny Casas, Lakeidra Chavis, Phoebe Wang, Taunya English, Zakiya Gibbons and Erisa Apantaku!
From April 30 - May 6, 2018, these nine radio producers came together at the Ragdale Foundation, just outside Chicago. During their week away from the demands and deadlines of everyday life, each Resident had the time and space to make progress on their own audio project, while sharing expertise and sonic camaraderie with one another. Mentor Nishat Kurwa (Youth Radio, Vox Media) and workshop leader/Third Coast alum Sarah Geis were on-site all the while, offering one-one-one guidance and editing sessions.
The Third Coast Radio Residency is supported by the Third Coast Fund, an initiative to increase access to Third Coast programming, and the Ragdale Foundation.
